The Huzgroup Electrical team of skilled Cairns electricians were thrilled to deliver this transformative lighting project for Lions Park in Cooktown. Cook Shire Council engaged us to design and install decorative RGB lighting for a large tree in the park and create a custom fountain with submersible RGB lighting for the town well.
Our Cairns electricians crafted a lighting plan that enhances the park’s nighttime beauty, incorporating commercial-grade IP65 lighting, custom stainless steel cages, and a commercial lighting control system. The lighting is fully programmable, offering a variety of modes and colour options to suit any occasion.
The town well, which had been without a fountain or lighting for many years, was in a neglected state, filled with rubbish and overgrown with trees through its brickwork. Our team began the project with a thorough cleanup, removing debris and vegetation to prepare the site for transformation. We designed the fountain using a marine-grade brass fountain and installed a circulation pump to keep the water free from algae and weeds. The fountain now serves as both a visually stunning centerpiece and a functional surface aerator, maintaining the water’s cleanliness and health.
Commercial-grade RGB submersible lights were carefully mounted on a custom frame, delivering an awe-inspiring display of vibrant colors. The end result is a beautifully illuminated fountain that brings life and energy to the well and surrounding park.
